Senate Enrolled Act 78 requires school districts to implement a bell-to-bell ban on student use of personal wireless devices during the school day. Effective July 1, 2026, this state law requirement applies to cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, headphones, tablets, personal laptops, and other personal smart devices not issued by the school.
